A Diamond Dossier from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is issued for diamonds that weigh less than one carat. A Diamond Dossier describes the characteristics of your diamond in a concise, easy to understand report. A Diamond Dossier includes:

• Laser Inscription on the girdle of the diamond with the report number
• Shape and Cutting Style
• Measurement – Dimensions
• Weight - Carat weight measured to the nearest hundredth of a carat
• Depth Percentage relative to the average diameter
• Table Size relative to the average diameter
• Girdle range of thickness
• Culet Size
• Finish grades for polish and symmetry
• Clarity Grade
• Color Grade
• Fluorescence – strength and color viewed under UV light
• Comments for any additional characteristics not mentioned
